Emmy came to Denmark a cold night in February 2001, after a very long journey from New Orleans. I am Karen Broadus and Dina Becnel forever grateful for allowing me to buy this lovely
girl.
Emmy has a very special place in my heart. She is the best family dog one could ever wish for,
I haven't met a dog she didn't get along with, she is gentle and loving towards all living creatures – and she has a very special gift of stealing the heart of our guests. As a mature dog she has proven herself as a very effective guard dog with enough self-confidence and courage to protect her family.
As a youngster Emmy was primarily trained in obedience, earning her two title in just one weekend. In her senior years we have turned our focus on rally. Just a couple of month before her 10 year birthday she obtained her championship. She was also invited to the Danish championship 2010 in rally
open.
Emmy has only been shown on a limited basis, but has had some nice placement, she did, as an example, qualify for Cruft 2003. She is a big girl with a lot of bones, but still feminine and not at all coarse. She has a beautiful head with pretty eyes and a good and natural earset, a good topline, a nice and deep chest, good legs with nice tight paws, nice stifle bend, god hocks and a nice side gait. Her coat are of moderate length and
texture.
Emmy is the mother of two lovely litters, my A and B
litter.
February 2011 she was diagnosed with cancer. A beautiful day in the beginning of the summer did she
loose the
battle and are now waiting on the other side of the rainbow.
Rest in peace my sweet girl.
